Moved from a career in Military electronics to broadcast engineering in 1982. I have headed up many post production facilities in London's Soho area during the 80s and 90s and started Centroid in 1995 along with a two well chosen partners. For me, technology is everything and my constant goal is to see Centroid at the forefront of motion capture and its development.
Director of Development, Serbia
I’ve been at centroid 12 years – Motion Capture veteran of the mid nineties (the dark analogue days).
Produced and supervised mocap for some of the top game (Hit Man 1-4, Watch Man, Prince Caspian, etc) and film titles (Stardust, Harry Potter, Quantum of Solace, etc).
Motion capture supervisor on the forth coming Children’s TV series “What’s Your News” (Nickelodeon).
Not afraid to work with Animals or Children!
Also known as mocap Mike I have been in the Media and Entertainment business for at least 14 years. Founder member of Graphics Domain, we were the first reseller to be authorised to facilitate 3DS Max and Maya sales. Now ensconced in the amazing world of motion capture I currently enjoy becoming a virtual hero for the day.
I have worked in the Video Games and Broadcast industry for 4 years now. My role at Centroid has always been a varied one, from pipeline creation, motion editing to r&d work. Evolving with the ever increasing client demands.
I have always had a passion for games since the early Atari days so working with Centroid is such a great opportunity to use my IT background having a very techniqual mind; however, I have always been an artist first which has given me a balance I find extremely helpful when working on any 3d project. My time at Centroid has been outstanding and I'm happy to be a part of such a great team.
I have worked in the games and broadcast industry for over twelve years, and motion capture has always been a recurring theme in the titles and projects I have been involved with. When the opportunity arose to join Centroid as a Project Manager, I leapt at the chance. My role centers around pre-production; liaising with clients and developing bespoke delivery pipelines. We service the film, television and games industries, and as the requirements and expectations of all three are constantly expanding and forging into new territories, my role evolves with every project.
My career in the animation space has gone full circle since starting in 1995. I entered the world of 3D models at Pinewood Studio, with clients asking if they could buy my brain, not always a wise choice..since then I have been involved with animation primarily in the games industry but the bright lights of Pinewood have drawn me back in. Looking after Centroids clients and marketing my brain has been restored.
I started my career in the Games industry in 1999 completing two games titles. In that time I worked as a texture, character, environment, cinematic, effects and concept artist.
In 2005 I started working at Centroid on data cleaning and since then I have been involved in the shooting and post production process.
My other interests are digital sculpting and 3d modelling mainly, character and creatures.
